Program Participation Agreement
This agreement outlines the context for your participation in an online program with Rabbi Natan Fenner. Please read the entire agreement, contact me before completing it if you have any questions, then complete and return it if you are in agreement and wish to proceed.
Expectations
You, as a participant, deserve an enriching program, facilitated with caring and skilled professional attention. Rabbi Fenner prepares programs, lays out guidelines and sets the tone for a safe and fruitful space for learning and support. It is understood that the experience of a group program depends on everyone’s respectful participation, and is not entirely under Rabbi Fenner’s control. During our program you are encouraged – and free – to ask questions, respond, share or disclose (or not) in ways that feel helpful or of interest to you. It is hoped that the program, and your participation in it, will be as relevant, engaging, and beneficial as possible.
It is understood that this program will take place via video connection. For your own sake and for the sake of other participants, you are responsible for ensuring you have adequate equipment, internet connection, and a quiet, private, reasonably lit space from which to take part in the program.
Communication
There may be reason for Rabbi Fenner to contact program participants outside program session times, for instance to share resources or logistical updates related to the program, or to check in after a missed session. Participants consent to receiving phone and email messages from Rabbi Fenner through any of the contact addresses or phone numbers a participant has given. It is the Participant’s responsibility to notify Rabbi Fenner if they wish to limit that consent.
Program participants acknowledge that Rabbi Fenner offers his services on a part-time basis and does not check or respond to messages every day. Please allow two business days for Rabbi Fenner to respond to messages. Unless Rabbi Fenner makes a specific commitment to a program participant or individual client, there is no expectation that he is available for supportive communication or spiritual care outside of scheduled appointments, or beyond the timeframe of the scheduled program. It is also understood that there is no expectation of communication with Rabbi Fenner through text/SMS.
Payment
Payment of the listed or agreed-upon fee is due in advance of a program, in order to confirm your participation.
An invoice from Square (for US$) or an e-transfer request from INTERAC (for CAN$) is normally furnished via email, to facilitate credit card payments or bank (ACH/INTERAC) transfers. You will automatically receive a receipt from Square or a transfer confirmation from INTERAC when your payment has been processed.
You as the participant must be the legal account holder, or a named authorized user, of the credit card or bank account whose information you submit to Square or INTERAC for payment purposes.
Rabbi Fenner does not bill insurance for his services.
Cancellation
By paying and confirming participation for an online program, class, workshop, or support group with Rabbi Fenner, one of a limited number of spaces is secured for you. If your plans change, please contact Rabbi Fenner (shalom “at” rabbifenner.com) at your earliest opportunity.
A confirmed participant who notifies Rabbi Fenner of their wish to cancel at least one business day prior to the program’s start date may receive a refund of 90% of the fee paid. A confirmed participant in a multi-week support group who notifies Rabbi Fenner of their wish to cancel at least one business day prior to the second scheduled session may receive a refund of 90% of the fee paid. All other program fees are non-refundable.
Urgent concerns, Emergencies
Rabbi Fenner offers online programs and is available for scheduled appointments on a part-time basis; his practice is not set up to provide urgent or emergency response. It is understood that Rabbi Fenner may or may not be able to schedule a timely individual appointment to address a pressing concern. In case of emergency or urgent need, including suicidal feelings, program participants are advised and agree to seek help from a warm line, hotline, 9-1-1, primary care physician, psychiatrist, therapist, or other sources with more immediate response capacity.
Acknowledgement
In completing the form below, Rabbi Fenner and program participant indicate that they understand and agree to uphold all aspects of this agreement.
